- Added cylinder 16 height 4 width
- squashed it to look like handle by stretching the X and Y axis and bevel
- Align tool with maximum on both target object and current object with allign position Z
- chamfer and inset were used to shape the cube into a hammer shape.
- edit UVW. selected ends of the hammer and dragged them out the way in the UVW window. i used the planar projection maps.
- after adjusting both UVW objects i attached both the handle and head.
- I then unwraped the UVW on the whole hammer and rendered it.
- in photoshop: duplicate background layer, desaturate image in Image > adjustments > desaturate. ctrl + i to invert, change blender mode to multiply. create another background layer and fill it with white. THIS LAYER MUST BE USED FOR TEXTURE ONLY.
- I transfered the photoshop file into 3DS Max to complete the hammer.
